Brand Strategy and Positioning

Our Brand Strategy and Positioning should be solidly imprinted in our minds when we speak, act and represent ScreenPlay.  

How we will set our brand apart

ScreenPlay supplies high-quality audio-visual equipment. Our products are sold globally to distributors, retailers and resellers. ScreenPlay aims to provide the most design, function and eco-friendly conscious products on the market today. 

Our Values

1. Modern (Visual)

We believe in modern, understated design – without irrelevant elements. We make products that serve their purpose. Our visual identity communicates this. 

2. Real (Communication)

We go straight to the point without any unnecessary words. We want to invoke emotion and satisfy our consumers’ desires on the deepest level – with honest, genuine and actual language without the overuse of superlatives. 

3. Conscious (Personality)

We are highly focused on sustainability through the design and adoption of eco-friendly technologies. We are brave and curious. We like to get the job done - in a way that is also good for the environment. Intelligent, fast and effective.

Our Audience

Our average customer lives in the Americas, Europe or Asia, ages 18 to 60, 82% male, and 18% female. Our audience cares about the features and aesthetics of our products as well as reliability and ease of use.

Last but not least, they care about the environment.

In 2023

We have a recognizable visual brand with a website and an updated social media presence. We want to become a machine in producing quality educational information about our industry, products and solutions. We publicly share our intel to get people to care about sustainability and the following happiness. 

In 2028

We are seen as the go-to brand for audio-visual products and solutions. Our brand is seen as elegant and aspirational, and our brand personality is accessible and authentic. We are an authority in our field and manage a team of highly talented and loyal distributors and retailers operating at the national or multi-national levels. Part of the company is dedicated to working with innovating new, revolutionary audio-visual products.

Our Goals

1. Create the most stylish yet understated and functional brand. Sales will follow.

Concept

Logo

Always favour a dark logo against a light backdrop and vice versa. We aim to provide the maximum contrast between the logo and the background.

Do not use the black logo with a black backdrop, this combination is exclusively reserved for the use on products with black case parts: Double Black

Logo Clear Space

When applying any of our logos, it is paramount that they are given enough space from the margins and other elements on the page. The clear space is set at 50% of the height of the logo in every direction.

About

Be Vietnam Pro is a Sans-Serif Neo Grotesk which is well suited to tech companies and startups. With refined letter forms it has been engineered for the best readability.

Usage

These fonts are licensed under the Open Font License. This means, that you can use Be Vietnam Pro freely in your products & projects — print or digital, commercial or otherwise.

For general email use, we recommend using Helvetica as a default typeface. 

Designers

Lâm Bảo co-founded Yellow Type Foundry with Duy Đào in Vietnam in 2018, alongside being an independent designer focusing on product & visual design. During the years, they have worked with a couple of renown Vietnamese brands, including OPPO Vietnam, beGroup, mCredit by MBBank, and a few more to be named or in progress. The duo focus on delivering the best of their craftmanship in modern typefaces, especially made for Vietnamese and continue contributing to the next generation of type designers in Vietnam.

ScreenPlay Cuts

Be Vietnam Pro comes in nine different weights, three select main cuts are used for ScreenPlay content: Light (300), Medium (500) and Semi-bold (600). All have associated italics. 

Throughout the visual identity, Light (300) is utilised for body text (B1, B2). Medium (500) for sub headings (H3, H4), call out text or for more impact and Semi-bold (600) for headings (H1, H2)
